AABP exchange of editorial calendars
Welcome to AABP's digital Promotion Information Exchange (PIE). Submitted material has been posted on AABP’s website at www.bizpubs.org/pie. You will also see this link in the upper right corner of the home page if logged in. You log in by entering the user name and password you chose. If you don’t remember those, click on, Forgot Your Password? to have them sent to you via email (or contact Barton Ortberg). AABP has designated participants’ online records so only they will be able to view and/or download everyone’s materials to print. If you didn’t contribute, you won't have access to view the material online.

Each quarter, a new PIE is announced. Once new submissions are posted, previous files will no longer be accessible. So it’s important that you view and download what you want before that quarter ends. We want all member publications to participate. Send your e-mail now to avoid missing the deadline.

For the next exchange, we're asking for your editorial calendar. Please send that by Feb. 29, 2012 to AABP Staff Associate Barton Ortberg at bart.ortberg@dowdenmanagement.com. If your submission involves more than one entry, please combine them into one PDF before sending the email. Please keep the PDF file size to less than 4 MB or else it will be unusable on the Web. You can also submit a URL, Word file or .jpg with relevant content to be included.

AABP Editorial Excellence Awards deadline
The Editorial Excellence Awards Program Call for Entries will be posted shortly. This is just a brief note so you can start your planning.

For this year's Awards Program, the categories are unchanged from last year. You can begin to plan what you might enter.

NEW this year - the Board found an easy, cost-effective way to submit the majority of awards entries online. Hopefully, the new process will result in lowered shipping costs for members and faster, simpler review of entries by our judges at the University of Missouri. Many of the Journalism awards programs are using these online systems so you may have some familiarity. Specific instructions for accessing the system and submitting award entries will be included in the Call for Entries and sent out via email and posted on the website. The online entry system allows you to upload pdfs or include specific website urls as appropriate or necessary. You can also submit credit card payment through the Alliance of Area Business Publications website.

Instructions for the online system as well as the Call for Entries should be available early February. The deadline for submissions will be March 12th for this year's program! Please plan accordingly.
